Our latest art project has been creating memory sticks for ourselves. This idea was from the Nunga Group at Grange. Mrs Baldwin was so impressed with the art activity and how unique it was that she decided to do this with our class.
First we had to collect a stick and bring it to school. As we have had a lot of windy days lately this proved to be an easy task to find a stick to use.
Next we used different coloured wool to weave around our sticks. This took a lot of patience and skill because some of our sticks were bumpy and quite long.
Once we finished this we then chose up to 4 memories from our lives that we could attach to our sticks. Some of these items included photos, ribbons, sea shells and small toys.
They look fantastic hanging up on our back wall.
Well done to everyone!
