End of Term 1 Reflection

The end of term is coming to a close. We have had a very busy 11 weeks and we all deserve a break to haveΒ some rest and relaxation with family and friends.

The term began with our class learning about each other and also the rules of the school and classroom. Throughout the term we have completed many different topics in all areas of learning plus celebrated some whole school events. Some of the learning and events we haveΒ had include:

 

Harmony Day

Meeting our CAT buddies and making an Easter basket

Completing and achieving Mathletics certificates

Maths – learning about place value and addition and subtraction

Learning new words in Spelling

Writing recounts and learning about persuasion texts

Practising our typing in computing

Grammar – learning about paragraphs, conjunctions and editing

Practising our handwriting skills

Creating Picasso and Kandinsky art

Chess tournament and lessons with Allan

Completing a PowerPoint about the plant life cycle in computing

Science – learning about the plant life cycle and growing our own plant in class

Commenting on many blog posts and replying to our peers

Reading – Participating in Accelerated Reader quizzes and Premiers Reading Challenge

Participating in fitness and sport activities such as cross country

and many many more ….

 

WOW! That sure is a lot of learning!! Term 2 is only around the corner and Mrs. Baldwin will have loads of fun and exciting new activities to participate in. We hope that everyone has a relaxing holidays!

    The thing I liked doing this term is growing the seeds and learning how germination works and the stages to make it grow.

    How to subtract numbers to see how much something is from another.

    Times tables and doing some spelling but not to much spelling please

  2. Dear Mrs Baldwin, my favourite topic this term is learning about the plants growing in germination and pollination I especially liked the poster assignment that we had to do in only 2 days because it was fun colouring and decorating it.

    Mrs Baldwin my 1 thing I want to share that I learnt about this year is that I learnt more of pollination than I did before and I learnt lots more scientific words.

    Mrs Baldwin I am looking forward to learning about what you do at camp because that’s what I am most looking forward to in term 2 camp lovely camp. From Kain

    The thing I enjoyed the most about this term was the Figure Me Out and the fitness we had.Im nervous about learning division but at the same time looking forward to it and I’m looking forward to the next art subject.

    1 The thig I learnt this Term is that in science is the reason a seed has a scar on it is because that is where the seed has been attached to the tree and now has been picked of or fallen of.

    The thing I am looking forward to next term is learning about what to do on camp and learning about stuff on camp.
