Premiers Be Active 2015

This year our class are participating in the Premiers Be Active Challenge. Regular physical activity is a great way to relax, it improves your health, makes you feel good and helps with learning.

The Challenge is to do at least 60 minutes of physical activity on at least 5 days of the week for 4 weeks. Each day we are recording our activity on a chart. After 4 weeks of daily physical activity we will be rewarded with a medal.

It was been wonderful to see how everybody in our class is being active on a regular basis. We all enjoy our playtime at recess and lunch which equates to 60mins of being physically active. A lot of us have commitments outside of school hours such as swimming, dancing, walking or riding a bike to and from school and participating in a variety of different sports. As a class we also participate in PE lessons every Monday for 50 minutes and fitness for around 20mins for at least 3 days a week. This makes this challenge quite an easy one to achieve as most of us are active for at least 5 days a week without even thinking about it.

Some of us participated in this challenge last year and have already received the Bronze medal and therefore will receive the Silver medal this year. For others this will be our first time completing the challenge and gaining our first medal which will be very exciting.   1. Hi ms Baldwin I think it is. Very importent to stay active because if you do not watch active you will Not be fit and if you are not fit is not healthy and you want to be healthy.

    I have done a premieurs be active before last year I think and I’m pretty sure I got a bronze medal it’s actually really easy. Well the things I do to keep active is play footy and soccer at lunch and recess and after school I play club soccer. From Kayne

  4. Dear Mrs Baldwin,Each week I play tennis a lot I play it on tusday,Thursday,Friday and matches on Saturday.
    I also play lots of soccer at school.
    I think it’s very important to stay active because it’s fun and if you stay in all time and you get no sun it’s not good for you.

    I have not done premieres be active before so this is my first year and I am getting a bronze medal. The activities I do to keep active are sport, running, walking and active games. I think it’s important to stay active every day because your body will stay fit and healthy.

    I have not participated in the premiers be active challenge before although I would have liked to.

    Secondly the types of activities I do are Soccer, Cricket, Footy, Running and various activities.

    Finally yes I do think that it is important to stay active regularly so you can stay fit and healthy not to mention nutritional.

    I have never done premiers be active before but I am exited to start it and I hope I get a medal.
    I do netball every Saturday in winter and I do net ball training as well.

    Mrs Carmen’s class which I was in participated in the Premiers Be Active Challenge last year.
    On Monday, we do PE.
    On Tuesday, I play on the Swingy Thingys.
    On Wednesday, I go out to footy training in the afternoon,
    On Thursday, I play on the Swingy Thingys,
    On Friday, I play on the Swingy Thingys,
    And finally, On Saturday, I play School Footy.

    I have not participated in the premiers be active because I thought it was a thing where you have to be active 9 hours over 7 days lol.

    I started doing the premiers be active challenge last year.

    Activitys that I do to keep me active is on wensday I do tap, jazz and ballet on Tuesday I do basket ball training and the basketball game on Friday and Saturday I do ballet again.

    I think it is important to be active because if you’re not exercising regularly you might get lazy or a bit fat from eating a lot of food.

    I have not participated in the be active challenge before so this is my first time and I really like it.
    I do sport on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s, i do active games most of the time. Some of the games are red rover, ball rush, chocolate box and number soccer.
    I think it’s important to be active because you don’t want to get to 50 and haven’t done those active things that you would of wanted to do. Also you should go out at least for 30 mins in the sun and run around.

    I have done premiers be active before last year

    I have Football, Football and Soccer (training) on Wednesdays. Football and Soccer on Fridays. Saturday I have school Football game. Sunday’s I have too choose between Soccer or Football.

    Cause’ sport and being active is funner then playing games all day.

    I think that it is good to stay active because there are lots of x boxes and PlayStations and so on. So it is better to keep fit then play minecraft all day. The things that I do after school is swimming on Monday nights and acting witch is Thursday nights and gymnastics on Friday nights. I enjoy being active because
    It is fun and heathy and super enjoyable. And if you are on minecraft all your life you wont be able to
    Talk to people normally.

  19. Dear Mrs Baldwin,
    Last year I did do the premiers be active and I achieved a bronze. On a Monday I have ballet after school that starts at 5:00 and every day of the week I walk to school and come back from school and all together that takes 10mins then on Tuesday s I have my competitive group and in that I do ballet , jazz, Tapp and hip hop then after that I have a diffrent class and in that I do a jazz and Tapp on wednesday I some times do Zumba with my mum and that’s a type of dance too. Also on Thursday I have a a hip hop lesson after that I have my 2 solos so that’s what I do through out every week.
